20 Free Grunge Fonts

written by Peter Olexa

Grunge fonts are characteristic with wrecked, damaged and worn out style. I wouldn’t say these fonts are anyhow limited in terms of use, but I am sure there is no better font style than this one when designing for example mix-tape covers, hip-hop web sites or flyers. From my point of view, grunge fonts are one of the coolest fonts out there. If you feel the same, I am sure you’ll appreciate the collection of free grunge fonts below. Handpicked with love!

Is the Triumph Rewind the same font that Nirvana uses for their name? Nice fonts, they look very retro.

That’s what I call great fonts :) I already picture myself doing some really creative stuff with those. It really is a nice selection of not so ordinary fonts, changes from other blogs that do the same over and over again. Thanks for sharing.

I have a special place in my heart (well, eyes I guess) for grunge fonts, and this is a nice range, from fonts you could use in a document or brochure to ones that are so “damaged” you’d use them in a graphic.

    Thanks! – Bob

Thanks Peter for a nice collection, different to a lot of the repetitive stuff one sees all over the place. I can see mileage of my own in Reclaim and Canard. Thanks again, Harold
