I designed this wallpaper, with a strong influence of James White’s work, and it’s inspired by expedition to Mount Everest in year 1952.
In the spring of 1952 a Swiss expedition, lead by Edouard Wyss-Dunant was granted permission to attempt a climb from Nepal. The expedition established a route through the Khumbu ice fall and ascended to the South Col at an elevation of 7,986 meters.

Idea and Design Process

This wallpaper is inspired by work of James White. I’m so in love with his retro lines, so I wanted to create something on my own.
I started with creating background with retro circles. Then it was time to draw a retro lines. I was experimenting with the size of diagonal shards, colors and blend modes. I add flare spots also. For the text i used font Helvetica Neue. Finally I add retro touch with cardboard texture and heavy scratches.

  • Cool Wallpaper! What I really liked was the fact that, like we say in Brazil, you gave us the knife and the cheese, so we can just cut it. Is there any similar quote in english or in Serbia?

You should upload your cool logo to your facebook fanpage. :)
